‘Stock market developments bear signs of a speculative bubble. Oil price developments could also pose risks. But it would not be appropriate to dramatise the situation.’ – Horst Koehler, Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund, on the world stock markets

As the speculative bubble in our market continues to be volatile, it is imperative that you begin positioning yourself into a sound financial situation. Diversifying away portions of your profits into not only different companies, but also different industries, types of investments, markets, regions, and even countries as well. Whether this bubble in the United States economy inflates more or bursts – it is our intention to give you the knowledge to prepare for it. Find on our site the basic fundamentals of investing from beginner to advanced.

Archives

Because this is the Internet and the Internet is supposed to be interactive, we have opened up our entire archive of investment tips and transformed it into an investment forum. Now you can ask questions, add your opinion, answer questions, make a comment, or just read what other investors out there have to say regarding any of the topics listed. As always, feel free to print these tips out, cut and paste them, e-mail them to others, whatever you need to get the most benefit out of our site. And of course, we will be adding to the list of tips periodically as this new economy develops. Send us an email and let us know what you think about this new format – especially if you have a suggestion so we can improve on it.

Glossary

We will still add concepts to our glossary if you stump it and send us an e-mail. Our glossary turned out to be one of the best compilations of investment concepts on or off-line. Thanks to all of you that suggested terms. Some of the more common terms were left off while some of the more specific ideas were included. Unlike other glossaries on the net, our glossary is searchable. Type a word in the search box from any page and it returns not only the definition of the word you typed but also any of the other terms that mention it. This produces a list of the related terms and often you can read the complete definition right there in the results. For those of you that don’t want to use the keyboard you can still view the glossary in the old style as a complete list or just by the letter if you click on the pad.

Newsletter

In December, our newsletter was opened up to everybody. So if you are an investor or are thinking about becoming one, please sign up for it. It goes out about once a month and is loaded with tips and concepts that are crucial to understanding what you are doing as an investor. If you want to brush up on investing principles don’t forget to add your e-mail address to the list before you leave.

Links

We try to maintain our links page with only the top quality sites out there. Next time you have a few minutes visit each one that interests you. The links are updated weekly in an attempt to keep the list small. (We figured that there are already plenty of other sites out there with hundreds of investment links). Check back each month or two or you will probably miss out on some good links that were removed.
