Short interest - total number of shares of a stocks
that are currently sold short. (Uncovered)
An increase in short interest is actually a bullish signal.
This is because the short sellers will eventually have to purchase the stock to cover their shorts.
This cushion of buyers will tend to support a declining market or accelerate a rising market.
