Cumulative Voting
Cumulative voting - method of voting for corporate directors
where each shareholder can multiply the number of shares owned by the number of directorships being voted on.
The shareholder can then cast the entire total for only one director (or any other distribution the shareholder wants).
For example: you own 100 shares of XYZ, they are voting for two new directors - you have 200 votes.
If you feel strongly about one director you can cast all 200 votes for that director and cast 0 votes for the other director.
Or you can vote 100 for each or any combination you chose.
