Glossary: Bearer Bond Bearer bond - owner not registered anywhere. The interest and principal goes to holder of the bearer bond. Attached coupons represent the interest payments. Uncommon to be issued by a US company these days but are common in Europe. The holder needs to physically detach and turn in the coupon to receive the payment.

Bonds were issued by Bankers Trust Company for: National Railways of Mexico, $1,000 U.S. Gold certificate #'S: m159 m48335 m48338 m48339 Chase back then was the transferring agent. when we called they would not help us or even say what happened to the account.
